CBAIM members include burn care physicians, nurses, physical and
occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists, rehabilitation
experts, and research personnel. Firefighters, administrators, prevention
educators, and burn patients also comprise the CBAIM membership.
Membership is open to health care professionals and others with
a demonstrated interest/accomplishment in the field of burns.
One of the CBAIM's major activities is to further the professional
education of its members. Annual meetings that include postgraduate
and correlative sessions are held----with accreditation awarded
by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine for
Continuing Medical Education .
The CBAIM publishes the Chinese Journal of Burns,Wound and Surface
Ulcers, its official bimonthly publication, along with the Association's
newsletter. The Journal is peer-reviewed, and includes the latest
information in research and clinical burn care,wound management.
Other CBAIM publications include (1)Clinical Handbook of Burns
Regenerative Therapy ---- an education material for clinicians and
nurses in burn care field and other related medical field ; (2)
Burns Regenerative Medicine and Therapy ----an extensive compilation
of materials in burn care, prevention, and research.
The Association co-sponsors educational regional meetings throughout
the country, and each year awards a number of fellowships and grants
to members to advance scientific, clinical, educational, and prevention-related
work in the burn care community.
