Burns Depth£º Diagnosis: Frostbite by liquid nitrogen, TBSA: 56%, including 6% of II degree, 10% of III degree and 40% of IV degree. Medical history: 20 hours before admission, the client was injured by explosion of a tube transporting liquid nitrogen. The liquid nitrogen (minus 33¡ã C) splashed onto four extremities, face and neck area. Then washed by cool water and transferred to our hospital.

Cause of Injury£º

Treatment with MEBT/MEBO
Immediate debridement after admission. Then wrapped by MEBO Gauze for 15 days. After that, carried out semi-Moist Exposed Burn Therapy with Moist Exposed Burn Therapy to treat the wound. Meanwhile, micro-skin grafting was used on the surface of IV degree wound. The II degree wound was healed within 10 days, III was healed within 30 days, IV was healed within 88 days. After healing, in order to prevent scar formation, had consistently used MEBO Scar Reducing for 3 years.
