1. 3.12. How does MEBO Wound and Ulcer Dressing work?

    MEBO Wound and Ulcer Dressing is based on Chinese and international patents techniques, which are: Medicine Base and its Usage and A Kind of Medicine Composition and Method of Preparation for Treating the Heat Damage of Warm Blood Animal or Human Body. Its made of non woven gauze embroidered by water with net structure that has been soaked in sesame oil and beeswax mixture with frame structure, which with self sticking dressing pad forms the three dimensional frame structure.  
    By applying advanced bio-engineer technology, this product reacts on the wound surface through its three-layer isolation and respiratory metabolism function to keep the wound in a physiologically moist environment and allow the necrotic tissues to be liquefied and discharged. The stem cells on the wound are afterwards activated which initiates tissues repairing and regenerating, consequently accelerating the physiological healing of the wound while reducing and controlling the infection.
    Firdtly, the moist physiological environment formed by MEBO Wound and Ulcer Dressing can effectively isolate the damage of air to the wound and also the secondary pollution of the surrounding environment to the wound. Meanwhile, sesame oil contained in the dressing can decrease local exudation and maceration of flame cells in order to decrease the amount of toxic matter produced.
    Secondly,the wound damage reaction is lightened through the three isolation reactions; the reparation reaction is strengthened through the nutrition and activation reaction of this dressing to the cells at the wound fundus, which in all quicken the physiological healing.
    Thirdly, it plays the unique respiratory metabolism function: MEBO Wound and Ulcer Dressing has the unique net in net three dimentional frame structure. The phase of the oil drop within the structure will change with the change of temperature and then flowing liquid passage will form to achieve the respiratory metabolism function of the wound. The warmed oil drop permeates into the wound and divides the necrotic tissues to particles and surrounds them to initiate serial biochemical reaction (see Q4, Part three).
    The necrotic tissues are hydrolysed to small tissues and then these small tissues are enzymolyzed to micromolecule matter. So the toxic acid matter is transferred to innoxious neutral matter through rancidity and lipofication. Then after lipofication and esterification reaction, the toxicity of the acid matter is reduced in the degraded necrotic tissues to lighten the secondary damage to the wound. Meanwhile, the oil drop after reaction loses lipophilicity and combines with the liquefied necrotic tissues. The mixture is discharged to the wound surface. Fresh oil drop will permeate into the wound continuously and new reaction will begin.
    All in all, the unique net in net three dimentional frame structure of MEBO Wound and Ulcer Dressing, the effective three isolation moist physiological environment and the repeated respiratory metabolism function can protect the wound, liquefy the necrotic tissues, obtain nutrition continuously to achieve the fast physiological healing of the wound.
