The inventor of Moist Exposed Burns Therapy- professor Rongxiang Xu divided the degree of the skin heat injuries into three degree six types scientifically, which is abbreviated as Three Degree Six Division. After years, this kind of Three Degree Six Division is used as the evaluation criteria for the classification of the burns wound damage depth by Chinese Burn Association of the Integration of Traditional and Western Medicine (CBAIM).

Three Degree Six Divisions includes: first degree, superficial second degree, deep second degree superficial type, deep second degree deep type, superficial third degree and deep third degree.
