The FIM is formed of lipo-protein during the necrotic tissue liquefaction process promoted by MEBO. During the reaction between esters produced by the series of bio-chemical reactions and plasma proteins (non-infraprotein) exuded from the wound mixed with some ingredients of MEBO. Only when standard application of MEBT/MEBO is performed, can the FIM be formed on the wound.
